JARO is a working place that offers musicians, artists and researchers room to develop their work and projects. This development mainly happens in the form of participating in the workshops we organize here, but there is also possibilities to stay here in residence for longer periods of time.

The focus of JARO now lies on Dhrupad; an ancient form of Indian classical music. The Dhrupad workshops are taught by Marianne Svasek throughout the year. Each summer we offer bigger workshops, for 18 to 25 participants. During these workshops, various guest teachers are invited from India.
